We bake the old-fashioned way using ingredients like creamery butter, real eggs, and 70% Belgian chocolate, and we never sell “day old” baked goods by donating all of our end-of-day baking to programs at The Anglican Church of the Redeemer and Salvation Army Harbor Light, and by supporting the Yonge Street Mission through its senior and youth lunch program, specifically their monthly birthday lunches.

We also have a passion for friendly and understanding service – every department at Prairie Girl is committed to your order being top quality, and served or delivered with sincere interest in your satisfaction. If you are not fully satisfied, we will happily refund your money or replace your order, no receipt or explanation needed.

We are sometimes asked, “What’s with the name?”. The owner, Jean Blacklock, is from Saskatoon and proud of her Prairie roots even though her former careers in law and banking took her to Calgary and Toronto. Jean credits PGB’s loyal customers and the amazing team who work at Prairie Girl Bakery for the success of the business since its opening day, April 1st, 2011.
